# Front driveshaft phase correction

## Before the maintenance:

Annoying vibration around neutral throttle, most noticeable at highway speeds. Especially with cruise control on, while coasting downhill.

## Maintenance

Front driveshaft was in-phase. The 1992 FSM shows it should be in-phase. But later FSMs and forum posts all say it should be in-phase.

The previous owner said he had the driveshafts rebuilt. They were very black and clean, so seems to be the case.

I greased the yoke splines (be careful to not grease it too much that it can't move in as far as it needs to) and turned the yoke 90 degrees out of phase.

## Results

I did a highway test drive and so far the vibration seems to be notably reduced from before. Will have to drive more to know for sure.

## Update

Vibration is still present. Maybe somewhat reduced, but should be addressed.
